Our Office

Dr. Cervantes and his caring team would like to welcome you to La Mesa Village Dental. We have been serving the community since 1971. Our office is dedicated to providing healthy teeth and gums. Dr. Cervantes and Dr. Mayora are focused on individual quality dental care with the understanding that every patient is unique.

This tradition has been passed down since the late Dr. Devore started the practice over 28 years ago. With continual advanced education La Mesa Village dental is able to provide the newest technologies in dentistry. Today Dr. Cervantes brings an advanced approach to patient treatment in a warm comfortable atmosphere.

Our Staff

At present, patients requiring root canals or those who require periodontal treatment must travel to the office of a specialist. We know how much of an inconvenience that can be for you especially with all of our busy schedules. That is why we have an Endodontist and a Periodontist available for our practice.

Vicki has been with our office since it opened its doors over 28 years ago. She is a native San Diegan having lived in the area all her life. Vicki understands the needs of every individual patient and treats them as a member of her own family.

With her wealth of experience she is able to assist every patient in receiving the best possible care. Vicki is married to Bud and has two children. She volunteers at the hospital in her spare time. Her caring spirit radiates in everything she does.

Jen has over 18 years experience in the dental field. A native San Diegan, Jen has been with the office from the beginning of her career. She started at La Mesa village dental as a sterilization tech and soon became an RDA. Jen enjoys the progressive style of her role as an RDA, but most importantly, loves working with people. Her outgoing personality and love for her job shines through every single day.

Jen is married to her High school sweetheart and has two girls. She enjoys spending time with her family as well as helping and meeting new people every day.

Kim has been a part of La Mesa Village Dental for 10 years. She graduated from Mesa College in 1997. Her depth of knowledge has been cultivated by continuous advanced training. Kim has a very special ability to relate to patients and put them at ease. Kim is married and has three children: one girl and twin boys.

Mary has 31 years of experience as an RDH. Mary’s enthusiasm, kindness and superior skill have made her a favorite among our patients for over 14 years. She prides herself in keeping up with the latest advancements in order to provide the best possible care.

Mary is originally from Connecticut and attended Dental Hygiene school in Portland, Maine. She lives in La Mesa with her husband of twenty-one years and her son who is a senior at St. Augustine’s High School.

Valerie has been a hygienist for over 25 years, graduating from Loma Linda University. A native San Diegan, she has been with the office for most of her career and enjoys providing her patients with the latest information they need to be a co-therapist in their dental treatment. She especially has enjoyed the many families in the practice she has come to know over the years. Valerie is married with two boys, and enjoys spending time with her immediate and extended family and friends.

Barbara has been working in the dental field for over 30 years. Her passion for the dental field drives her to exceed in patient care. She started her dental career as a dental assistant and quickly found the love for dentistry. Over the years Barbara has fine tuned her skills to the highest standards and can answer any question one may have. She prides herself for being part of a team that provides patients with the highest level of treatment. Barbara has lived in San Diego all her life. She now lives in Carlsbad with her husband and three children.

Lisa has enjoyed a career in the dental field spanning over 30 years. Raised in San Diego, she attended Grossmont College for training in Dental Assisting. Soon thereafter, she joined La Mesa Village Dental where she has honed her skills, both in assisting and treatment coordinating. Lisa’s knowledge has empowered her to help patient receive the best options for care. Lisa’s sweet and understanding nature allows patients to feel comfortable. Lisa lives in La Mesa with her husband and has three children.
